The coolest plumber's tool kit I have ever seen!
On this pre-drywall inspection the builder was installing CPVC plumbing, which is the most common plumbing product in this area.
This is the only time I can see the house in a skeletal condition. A pre-drywall inspection is an important opportunity to do a home inspection.
This inspection should not be taken lightly, or skipped!
When I arrived there were two plumbers present. They were working.
Typically the builder sets a pre-drywall inspection date for a time AFTER the work has been completed. So it was disappointing to see the plumbers there.
But when I got into the basement I saw a tool kit.
Obviously home made, but efficient and light, convenient and cheap, this tool kit could not be simpler! It consisted of a 5 gallon plastic bucket, surrounded by PVC plumbing tubes with bottoms that were taped all around.
The bucket served as a trash can and the tubes as "pockets" to hold his various fittings, primer, and glue.
It was fabulous! What a good idea!
My recommendation: it's good to see people who think for themselves. It lends confidence when buyers see efforts made by people that are outside of the box. When trades people think in one regard, they think in others. It was good to see!
