Recover Yer Rain!

Friends and loyal followers!  Hi!!

It's me, Billy Jays again!

How good it is to be with you so soon after the introduction of one of my most popular products - Dot Yer Drips!

I have to say, Dot Yer Drips! has been flying out of our warehouses!

But what have I been hearing?  Your calls, letters and emails have gotten me to think.

You've been saying, "Billy Jays, my roof is so bad Dot Yer Drips! has not been enough.  My roof leaks so badly it's almost like it's raining up there!  It's a regular ActiveRain up there!  And I don't want to lose any of it!  Help Billy!"

Well, I gotta say, Billy Jays already has your back covered!

In the very test roof where Dot Yer Drips! was developed and tested we found that same problem!

It was really raining in that attic!

Then it got me thinking.  What a waste that would be of good ActiveRain water!  So I thought, what I could do about that, and solve that problem for you, my dear friends and family?

As I was thinking the poem about Columbus sailing the ocean blue came to mind and how on those ships they would recover the rain water to replenish their barrels of drinking water.

And it hit me!

Let me introduce my latest, and perhaps greatest, problem solver!

Recover Yer Rain!  Yes, with Recover Yer Rain! not a drop of the ActiveRain that gets through your roof will go to waste!

But Billy, you might say, how can I recover all that ActiveRain?  I don't want to waste any of it.

I call it Billy's Bag And Buckets!

You can see how this works along with Billy Puff!

It's a fail-safe system!

And just look at what a beautiful ocean blue Billy's Bag And Buckets! is!  What a wonderful and colorful addition this can make to any attic!

Simply unroll and lay out my waterproof Billy Bag!  It comes in a variety of sizes depending on how much ActiveRain you need to recover.  While it looks like a regular hardware store tarp, it's not!  It's my official Billy Bag!

Then decide on how many and what size Billy Buckets! you need, and lay them out accordingly!  See how good that looks along with Dot Yer Drips! ?

Get creative!  You can lay it all out in any pattern you want!

This pattern is recommended on page 17 of the instruction manual that comes with Recover Yer Rain!  I call it Crop Circle.  But hey, you can choose any one of them!

Call now!

And if you call in the next twenty minutes, and because we can't do this all day, I will have my incredibly trained Phone Bank O' Bucket Babes and Boys throw in a Billy Blanket! absolutely free!

That's so you won't miss a single drop of ActiveRain!  And you really don't want to!  That ActiveRain has a lot of value!

It's white, like ocean foam!

So Call Now!  Get your own set of Billy's Bag And Buckets! and free Billy Blanket!

Call and get your very own Recover Yer Rain!

Now, I know what you're thinking now and you don't even have to ask!

It's tough being up there in that hot attic!

And what better way to deal with that heat while you Recover Yer Rain! than a little of Billy Jays own Wet Yer Whistle!

You get a free case of Billy's special dihydrogen monoxide!  Remember, we filter our dihydrogen monoxide to the minimum standards required by law.  It's the code!

SO CALL NOW!

How good can this tandem product be!?  Dot Yer Drips! and Recover Yer Rain! is perhaps the best tandem ever and will make for the driest attic in your neighborhood!  IT CAN'T BE ANY BETTER!

Be sure to take your neighbors up to the attic so they can see how they can dry their attics too!

Let them slug down a bottle of Wet Yer Whistle! and see what a great problem solver YOU are!

It doesn't get any better than this!

So get on the phone and have a nice talk with my hand-picked Phone Bank O' Bucket Babes and Boys and order yourself up some Recover Yer Rain!

Another order of Dot Yer Drips! won't hurt either!

You'll be so glad you did!

I'd recommend that you CALL NOW...

This is Billy Jays signing off!  And when it comes time to sell your house, have a great time recovering from this one...

Now THAT is perfect! I am on the phone right now with the phone bank o' bucket babes and boys. And of course I ordered another doterator set. As long as those little boy scouts are free, I might as well take advantage.

That Billy Jays is a genius! Not only are the products some of the most unusual and useful I have ever seen, but they are presented well too!

So many creative solutions for all of these common problems.  I wonder what would happen if we could just prevent it from raining.

Good Grief!  Do they climb up into the attic when it's raining to empty the bowls???

Posted by Lenn Harley, Real Estate Broker - Virginia & Maryland (Lenn Harley, Homefinders.com, MD & VA Homes and Real Estate) over 5 years ago

Thank you Andrea.  I will pass that along!

Debbie - I was talking with my son about this attic that day (these photos are both from the same house!) and said it took these people longer to do this stuff than to replace the roof!  But, look at how much they saved (cough)...

Posted by Jay Markanich, Home Inspector - servicing all Northern Virginia (Jay Markanich Real Estate Inspections, LLC) over 5 years ago

The bowls were dry, but stained Lenn.  They have been up there more than once!

But still, what a great product!

But wait there's more. Gotta love the creativity.

Classic. Next thing we'll see will be sleds and connecting hose lines to drain down into the condensation drain.

Hey Jay.  I just realized that, if we enter a drought or the well runs dry (I have some experience with that), any rainwater collected could be used to water the garden.

Good morning Billy Jay.  As an extra added bonus, if you leave a vent or window open, mosquitoes and lay their eggs in the water, then the eggs hatch you will have free food for your goldfish.

Hello Jay,

I actually came across your fabulous product years ago when they were discovered in use in a attic during an inspection - how did you get the same photos?!!  LOL

Good morning Jay,

I was wondering what to do with all my extra blue tarps and buckets!

Make yourself a great day.

Posted by Raymond E. Camp, Licensed Real Estate Salesperson Greater Rochester (Howard Hanna Real Estate Services) over 5 years ago

Not one, not two, but three buckets for the price of one! Love it! I like Scotts idea of having a drain line running out of there so you never have to drain the bowls. What an awesome system!!

Note: Billy's Bag & Buckets not available in Colorado, where it is still mostly illegal to harvest rainwater.

Posted by Dick Greenberg, Northern Colorado Residential Real Estate (New Paradigm Partners LLC) over 5 years ago

Let me guess.  No disclosures from the seller that explained they had a rain harvesting system in the attic.

Amazes me that sellers think this kind of thing will just be overlooked.  I need to post a blog about a nightmare I recently went through with a client, and actually lost the client (so far anyway).  The ductwork in the attic had been chewed beyond repair by rats, it was horrific.  Of course, no disclosure.  There is NO WAY the seller could have been unaware, just as the seller of this lovely home with the rain harvesting system was aware.

At the end of the day we had to terminate the contract.  My client is out her funds for the option fee and inspection, and seller is back on the market.

Kate"s comments on what happened to her buyer brings home a good message. The seller's can make life difficult and it is sad that it happened to someone who has so little money. Good system to save water except in Colorado.

Billy Jays does it again - with creative solutions to the problems vexing homeowners.   The blue bowls are much better looking in the attic than the saucepans on the floors in the living areas!

I think you are really on to something here, Billy Jays. With a few well placed drain lines, you might be able to divert that rainwater to the houseplants in the rooms below!

Jay, if you have not done a video of you talking like this, you should!
Posted by Carol Zingone, Global Realtor in Jax Beach, FL - ABR, CRS, CIPS (Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Florida Network Realty) over 5 years ago

Scott - there is NO point in recovering that rain only to send it to the drain line!  It needs to be used!

Exactly Lenn!  That's why the product uses the word "recover!"

You see Ken.  There are by products with every idea!  That's how Edison made a living!

I'm sorry Lisa, but all of Billy's products are original and market leading!

Raymond - no point in wasting those old things on something this creative.  I'd call now.

Posted by Jay Markanich, Home Inspector - servicing all Northern Virginia (Jay Markanich Real Estate Inspections, LLC) over 5 years ago

And that would be especially useful, Fred, if they were drained for good use.  Gardens, window planters, the aquarium...

Dick - but this is indoors where privacy reigns.  Wow, if you can't redivert rain water for efficient use, what's the point!?

Kate - the last two posts are of the same house!  I guess they don't think inspectors go into attics!  And when we do, we look at everything, including ducts!

Jimmy - in Colorado this product will have to be ordered quietly!

Emmary - glad you enjoyed it!

And there's no plink, plink, plink Steven!

Thank you Oscar!

Hence the name Tom - Recover!

I wonder if that day will come Michelle.  Wouldn't that be a pip?

Carol - it's hard to photoshop a beard in a video!

Posted by Jay Markanich, Home Inspector - servicing all Northern Virginia (Jay Markanich Real Estate Inspections, LLC) over 5 years ago

Again, great job with the photoshop skills! These Billy Jays post have definitely been cracking me up, but they would also make me giggle with astonishment if I saw that myself in person, without the help of Billy Jays. Oh the solutions people come up with...

Sorry David, I'm not in on that end of it.  You'll have to call now.  The Phone Babes and Boys will work it out.

Billy, what a clever idea. I've seen many a home owner mis-using a Billy blanket and placing them on the outside of the roof when they could have been using them under the roof. Very clever

Good stuff Jay. Is that expanding foam that I see included in the Recover Yer Rain?

I could have used one of those kits several years back, when my youngest daughter, then 15, accidentally fired off a shotgun in my house.  She and her older sister were clever enough to find some accoustical ceiling repair in the garage and fix the hole to the ceiling before I got home.  What they didn't do however, was fix the roof.  I should shame them for not knowing about those kits:-)

Billy has demonstrated that inside is much better than outside Ed.  He is so in the forefront.

It is Tom.  I think Billy makes that clear in the add - they are tandem products!

Myrl - don't blame them now for what happened then!  Billy just came out with this!

Richard - apparently.  Two posts (and two Billy Jays products) in a row about the same attic!  When I got up there I laughed out loud.

Inna - that is the power of the infomercial!  I'd call now.

Billy Jays kinda reminds me of someone like Uncle Bob.  Unless its my house I find them unbelievable but people hire them.

You would think....knowing an inspection...no...make that after the first "collection" bowl....oh never mind...think and this remedy don't belong in the same sentence

Billy Jays is a bona fide, James, NOT like Uncle Bob!  I won't tell him you suggested that...

As a remedy no, S&D, but as a marketable product yes!  Billy Jays knows the market.

Billy Jay, your products are amazing. The owners don't have to worry about that leaky roof any more.

Posted by Michael Setunsky, Your Commercial Real Estate Link to Northern VA over 5 years ago

Hi Billy Jay,

I guess that's one way to help the ceiling from getting wet.

My question is why didn't they just fix the leak in the first place? But then I guess it would be too simple a question. LOL

Have a great day Billy in Bristow.

Best, Clint McKie

Don't laugh...but I currently have this set up under my sink in the half bathroom. It's not so much "recover yer rain" as it is "recover yer water so the drywall doesn't get moldy". It's just a temporary fix, I swear, until I redo the bathroom.

W&J - in addition to hopefully teaching you something!  But I'm always glad when someone's day is lighter!

Mike - I simply couldn't be prouder!  That is one fine system there, and the tandem products are amazing!

Clint - when Billy is about you don't need to go to all that extra expense and work!

Suzanne - having a catch basin under the sink is fine for the short term!  Better than a leak!  But, will it be there forever?

Gerard - this is Billy's 42nd product for sale on AR!
