This is something a layman would be proud of and a professional would shun. BTW, it reminded me of when I was a kid over a friends house and my friend was telling her father on the phone in another state how she stopped an indoor dripping roof leak by putting Vaseline over the drip. She was so proud of the act too....

Thanks for the laugh. Interesting way to solve or delay fixing a problem. Have used to spray foam to fill in some added plumbing pipes. Pretty easy.

Oh my, what a deal! Now if only I could get up into my attic. The problem is... the hatch opening is only really big enough to stick your head up into. It is perfect for hiding all those empty bottles of booze you don't want the family to know you have been drinking, you can toss them into the "attic" and no one is the wiser. Of course you can hide the full ones up there too, so they really are within fairly easy reach. Can you ask Billy Jays if there is some sort of extension wand and mirror to see what you are doing in a case like mine? Because if there is... oh boy, I am ordering lots of this miracle stuff!!!!

You do know we had trees hit the roof this past year, more than one. This could have saved a bundle. But one never knows since I can't get up there to look from the inside out. I'm going to have those tiny scouts dot EVERYTHING that doesn't move.
