What I'm Seeing Now

Mr. Jay And Billy Jays Receive A Christmas Gift!

Imagine their surprise when a package arrived at my house addressed to them?

And I thought, "Look at this.  Mr. Jay and Billy Jays receive a Christmas gift!"

As neither was home at the time, I had to call them to let them know it was here.

Excited, both rushed home to open it.

Not knowing who it was from (no name or return address), the detective work began.

The package came with a note!  Mysteriously the note was not signed, but contained numerous clues.  Who could it be from?

The greeting is in red and green, very holidayish.  Christmassy almost!  The giver appears to be from Wisconsin.  And it is signed in purple!  Now who uses purple when they communicate with people?  Apparently it isn't just one giver!  The givers are a couple!

DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS?  I can tell you the boys were stumped.  For sure I knew who it was from.  But they are still pondering.  Even now, a day later!

Interestingly, the decor for the tree was wrapped with ribbons that are Redskin colors!  How nice!

They liked it immediately and put it on the tree.  Showing me the spot, under the Redskin emblem and Redskin Santa, they were very proud of the new ornament.

I had to point out that the "tree decor," as they called it, having read the note, was probably inside the wrapping!

Some people you really have to hold by the hand.

Unwrapping it they found an unusual ornament.  Colors that just don't go with anything.  It has GREEN matched with gold!  Everyone knows that only burgundy goes with gold!  Well, at least I thought so.  And it has a nutcracker appearance, but surely can't crack any nuts.  To me it kind of looks kind of like Snidely Whiplash!

It just didn't have a Redskin feel, and as you all know we Redskin fans are all just SO proud this year...

So they put it on the tree, in the same spot.

For some reason, the Mystery Givers sent us an ornament that was made upside down!

Go figure!

I didn't understand it either.

But there it is!  On our tree!  In honor of the season and the Mystery Givers!

We all thank them both for the wonderful, and well-received, surprise!

I have to tell you that it made my day!

The boys are still stumped, but that's alright.

Thank you to the Mysterious Wisconsiners!  This was very appreciated and really will stay on our tree.  We still don't understand why you sent an upside down ornament, but we receive it in the gracious spirit it was given nonetheless!

Good morning Jay;  I like it.  Let's all start this as a new tradition, just pick out some "rainer" you like and send them a mystery gift like yours.  Then post it for us.  Please let us know who did it when you find out.

Glad you liked it Ken!  And I think the post has a buried link that tells who the givers are.

There are some buried things in there.  But Mr. Jay and Billy Jays still don't have it figured out so let them work on it Ken.

Thanks Sally.  It really made my day!  And that's mostly BESIDE the others, although there are many more Redskin ornaments on that tree you don't see!

James - a very nice surprise!

Good morning Jay,

As a former "Cheesehead" myself, I think that Sally and David might be saying that the Packers are standing on their heads to ensure they have back-to-back Super Bowl appearances (!?!)

Jay, I am giggling. I am married to a cheesehead.

And what makes me giggle is that I get Packer paraphernalia sent to me fairly regularly. They are Packer fans and think everyone should be ; )

They think I should abandon my Seahawks and wear Green and Gold. Now that ain't nice ; ) I think I should start sending them Seahawks ornaments for fun.

When I think of the Skins I always think of Riggins Motoring over people and Theisman's leg.

Jay-- It is nice when we can have friends like this from across the country - and that they can help stump Mr. Jay and Billy Jays makes it even better.

That's got to be it Lisa.  Why else would they have made it upside down?

Don - my wife could not care less about any team!  I don't have to deal with the gifts either.  This one really made my day though.

You're welcome Chris!  I had a lot of fun with this one.

Steven - it's easy to stump those two.  I could even have told them who it was who sent the gift and they would still probably be stumped...

Good morning Jay,

Exactly...go Packers!  What can I say, if my first team (Da Bears) aren't in it, then I have to run with the Packers.  Don't get me started on the Cowboys....

And we Redskin fans are all very proud, Lisa, with the record and the drama.
