Hi Jay - Um, I'm not sure how to say this, but...  I think some of that there Tar Yer Top got drizzled onto your face. Might want to wipe it off before it hardens...

Very funny post - great way to make your point!

My post?  I'm sorry, Judy, but for some reason Billy Jays uses my site to sell his wares.  This is his 22nd such post!  And, I gotta tell you, some of his products are terrific!

Michael - you totally missed it.  If you call in the next 20 minutes you get a second tube absolutely free.  So, really, you should call now!  I just don't know how else to say it.

We got better crap that that here... We got the stuff you goop ALL OVER that roof. It works especially well on tin roofs, especially the really peaked ones.

I have seen it with my own eyes... not only is it effective for something, it protects the old tin roof from the elements, I am sure of it. And talk about impressing your friends and neighbors... come on... your goop ain't near as impressive as Whole Roof Goop. And when it is applied over the old style tin roofs, it is decorative also.

Although your product could work well in the cracks.... everywhere. Can you use it around windows?

We have better around here also Andrea!  But this was so artistic Billy picked right up on it!  Of course it can be used around windows!  Now that will eventually have a sheen too!  Our Charlie sheen is the best, isn't it?

Was just wonderin' -- would that work on bathtubs and showers, too?

Posted by Tish Lloyd, Broker - Wilmington NC and Surrounding Beaches (BlueCoast Realty Corporation) over 7 years ago

Absolutely Tish.  And imagine how pretty that will look, especially after the sheen develops!

Jay - That sounds like a wonderful product. Now if I can just find someone to apply more each time the stuff cracks open, I'll order some.

John - that should not be hard.  I'm sure the Billy Jays affiliation of handy man services is in your area.

I can hear the thump thump of tobacco chewing, beard wearing Billy's peg leg hitting the deck boards (as he mops on that tar.) Har Billy Jay!

Billy, PLEASE tell me I can use it on my driveway too and have those neat little shoe prints from the driveway all the way through the house as well!

You mean the one that slops the stuff everywhere Don?  I see him all the time!

Robert - Billy has promoted now 22 products on AR.  One more to come in a couple of days.

Bob - you can't use it anywhere if you don't call now!  Of course it can be used anywhere your mind can imagine!  Billy

Jay, I find that structures added to the sides of completed homes often have issues---especially installed over brick----especially decks.

Posted by Charles Buell, Seattle Home Inspector (Charles Buell Inspections Inc.) over 7 years ago

Jay,

Tar is right up there in importance with duct tape and shoo goo.

Posted by Steven L. Smith, Bellingham WA Home Inspector (King of the House Home Inspection, Inc.) over 7 years ago

Charlie - no doubt!  It's especially difficult to do the decks properly.  This is a 1955 house, so this brick is structural.

Steve - as a former professional with Shoe Goo, I always found it really difficult to get to look right.  But I really like the duct tape idea, and maybe some WD-40 to shed that water off of it.

The really funny thing Jay, is that if you made the infomercial, you would probably sell "Tar yer Top" ;-)

Posted by Chris Smith, South Simcoe, Caledon, King, Orangeville Real Esta (Re/Max Chay Realty Inc., Brokerage) over 7 years ago

You are probably right Chris!  To date Billy has hawked 22 products on AR.  Some are obviously jokes, but some might could be sold on TV!
