What I'm Seeing Now

A Mark Trail Christmas

As a kid, reading the Sunday comics, I was a fan of Mark Trail.  He was a woodsman, with lots of wisdom and woodland lore.  As a Boy Scout, and camper, I found him entertaining and informative.

He had some seasonal appeal too.  Here is a Christmas comic that should be remembered.

Mixing images to appeal to everyone, it should be remembered that this day is a celebration of One Man - a Christmas Celebration, a ChristMAS.  Born to a peasant girl into a basic existence, nobody, nobody has had a more profound effect on more people.  No dictator, not the combined strength of all the armies and navies every put together, and not the collective influence of all the kings, queens, parliaments and congresses that ever sat have changed the world more, and in more ways, than this one Single Man.

His coming, and birth, were foretold numerous times in numerous prophecies.

It is true - many people are blessed this season, believer and non-believer alike.  Why?  Because we are all of the same family and share a common parentage.  And we are loved by another Single Man who wants to be known and addressed simply as Father.

Merry Christmas!

Thanks Ed.  Same to you and yours.  Nobody is up yet, so I thought I would take advantage of the calm before the storm...

Wow, Thornton, you go right from being Santa to the New Year's Baby!  You da man!

Thanks and Merry Christmas to you too!

Mike - it was a pretty cool strip.  Being a camper and naturalist, sort of, I loved it.

And did Chris!  Forever...

Thanks Jim.  The storm must be over there.  It has passed here as well.  My gift was very cool.  I'll post something about it.
