Jay it looks like ole Billy only nailed one end of one of four shingles and they have slid down the roof pivoting on the one nail:)

Eric - I see this so much these days I wonder if it just isn't intentional!  And for all I know that is a handy man's effort up there!!  He got paid for this...

Charlie - not Billy, but I think one of his fine infomercial watcher/purchaser.  Those aren't shingles - I think you are looking at the solid patch Billy sells!

Not picky at all!  Can't you see the value of a great, nearly invisible patch S&D?

Interesting, I like when you do new construction and the siders have put holes in the shingles by nailing through them to anchor the scaffolding. Nothing like finding silicone patches on a $10,000 roof...New home buyers would never know, until the leaking starts.

I see that all the time Mike.  It is ridiculous.  Like a small goop of caulking is going to last the length of the roof's life span.  On a new roof, what does it take to nail the scaffolds UNDER the shingles?

Jay,

You are exaggerating again. All they need to fix it is a couple gallons of tar to pour around it and a box of nails with big heads.

It should have been Q.U.I.L.T. 'd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by R Cho, R over 10 years ago

Steve - that would work, but Billy wouldn't have as much fun trying to sell it as a product!

Ron - different product and a different market, but Billy Jays can't do it all day and you should call now.
